The Race to Feed Waukesha: 10,000 Bags of Weekend Food Packed
On January 9, 2025, the Waukesha Chapter hosted its highly anticipated Race to Feed Waukesha County at Waukesha Area Technical College (WCTC), and what a day it was!
With over 39 teams and 530 attendees, the energy was electric as corporate, community, and high school teams competed to see who could pack the most bags. Together, they packed an incredible 10,000 bags of weekend food, ensuring that children in Waukesha County schools have the nourishment they need over the weekends.
The Race to Feed event united businesses, community groups, and schools in a powerful display of teamwork and generosity. Each bag packed represents a weekend of food for children in our Blessings in a Backpack program, offering them comfort and nutrition when they need it most.
We couldn’t have done it without the incredible support of our sponsors, attendees, and dedicated volunteers. Thank you for making this event such a success and for helping us make a difference in the lives of so many children in Waukesha County.
The competition was fierce, but these teams came out on top:
- Corporate Bracket: Milliman Intelliscript
- Community Bracket: WCTC SGA/Student Life
- High School Bracket: Waukesha SALT
